Number of Servings: 16


    4 c. whole wheat flour
    1 Tbsp. yeast dissolved in 2 Tbsp. cool water.
    1 1/3 c. lukewarm water
    1/4 c. blackstrap molasses
    1/4 c. olive oil
    1/4 c. nonfat dry milk powder
    1 1/4 tsp. salt


Combine all ingredients. Knead until dough is smooth. Place in lightly greased bowl and cover with plastic wrap or towel. Let rise 60 minutes or until puffy an double in bulk.
Punch down. Shape into loaf and place in 8 1/2"x4" lightly greased or sprayed pan. Let rise till 1" above pan (30-60 minutes).
Bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Tent lightly with foil. Bake another 20 minutes or until done. (Bottom of loaf will sound hollow when tapped.)
Remove from pan. Let cool. Slice into 16 fairly thin slices.
