Hearty Soup for a Cold Night! Hearty Soup for a Cold Night!
Number of Servings: 5

2 large potatoes, peeled and diced
    1 can corn (retain liquid)
3 tsp low salt chicken bouillon
    1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup Kroger peppers and onions (frozen)
2 turkey sausage links, casing removed
    1/3 cup Potato Buds

Peel and dice potatoes and boil in enough water to cover until they start to soften. Drain. Add fresh water to cover, 3 tsp bouillon, and corn (including liquid). Simmer.

Meanwhile, squeeze the turkey sausage out of its casing and into a skillet. Add peppers and onions and cook over medium-high heat until sausage is cooked through. Drain on paper towel, then add to potato mixture.

Add the milk to the soup, stirring well. At this point, it doesn't hurt to smash the potatoes up with a potato masher, to improve the consistency of the soup. If you care to thicken it more, add 1/3 cup of Potato Buds (mashed potato flakes, included in nutrition info). A pat of butter doesn't hurt (not included in nutrition info).

Heat through and serve.
