Introduction
Needed an appetizer, to take to a freinds & had all the fixin's. Turned out pretty well. The brands I used are listed, but feel free to use what you have on hand or your favorites. The wings were already sectioned. The brown sugar helps to temper the salt from the creole seasoning in addition to adding some sweetness. Ingredients
-
1/4 cup brown sugar (loose, unpacked)
4 1/2 tsp creole seasoning
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp chili seasoning
1/4 cup buffalo wing sauce
2 1/2 lbs chicken wings
Directions
Preheat oven to 500 degrees.
Mix brown sugar, paprika, chili seasoning, creole seasoning in a zip top bag. Mix well.
Rinse & pat dry wings.
Toss wings in bag with seasoning, toss to evenly coat. (at this point I let them sit in the refridgerator while I ran some errands, about 2 hours, this is not necessary).
Spray a rimmed baking sheet with cooking spray, or line with foil (easy clean up) and arrange wings in a single layer with space between.
Bake for 15 minutes, turn over & bake and additional 15 minutes.
Remove wings to a large bowl & toss with wing sauce (more may be added if desired).
Serve alone or with blue cheese or ranch dressing & celery.
