Introduction

Refreshing, crispy salad to add to tacos and other spicy dishes. Refreshing, crispy salad to add to tacos and other spicy dishes.

Ingredients

    * 1/2 head green cabbage, cored and shredded
    * 1 carrot, grated
    * 1 quart boiling water
    * 3 green onions, minced
    * 1 cup distilled white vinegar
    * 1/2 cup water
    * 2 teaspoons dried oregano

Directions

Mix cabbage and carrot in a large bowl. Pour 1 L (or quart) boiling water over mix and let sit for 5 minutes. Drain well. Add onion, vinegar and 1/2 cup cold water. Toss, then salt and pepper to taste. Chill 20 minutes before serving.
