Introduction

This soup is simple to assemble and delicious
my kids love it with some crusty bread and a nice salad

my kids love it with some crusty bread and a nice salad

Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    2/3 cup carrots diced
    2/3 cup celery diced
    1/2 cup onion diced
    1 bay leaf
    1/4 tsp thyme
    2 cloves garlic minced
    5 cups water
    1 1/2 cup white beans
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 1/2 cup ham
    ham bone if have

Directions

cover beans with 2 inches water in large saucepan heat to boiling and boil for 2 minutes uncover remove from heat cover and let sit 1 hour drain

drain beans place in large stock pot add water and all veggies along with garlic and seasonings bring to boil reduce heat and simmer til beans are beginning to become tender add ham bone and chopped ham continue to simmer until beans are cooked and veggies soft



serves 8- 1 1/2 cup each bowl
