Ingredients

8 oz whole wheat elbow macaroni
1-1/2 cups fat free cottage cheese
4 tbsp light margarine
1/4 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp white pepper
1/4 tsp garlic salt
1-1/2 cups fat free half & half
1/2 cup skim milk
2 cups fat free shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup diced ham
Topping:
1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs
2 tbsp melted light margarine
Directions
Cook macaroni according to package directions. Meanwhile, place cottage cheese in a food processor or blender; cover and process until smooth. Set aside.
In a large saucepan, melt butter. Stir in the flour, salt, pepper, and garlic salt until smooth. Gradually add cream and milk. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.
Drain the macaroni; transfer to a large bowl. Add the cheddar cheese, cottage cheese, ham, and white sauce; toss to coat. Transfer to a greased casserole dish. Combine bread crumbs and butter and crumble over the top.
Bake, uncovered, at 400 degrees for 18-22 minutes or until bubbly.
