A quick kid-pleasing fix for dinner when you are in a hurry. A quick kid-pleasing fix for dinner when you are in a hurry.

Ingredients

    1 lb ground sirloin (10% fat)
    1 cup sliced carrots
    1 (10oz) bag of frozen broccoli florets
    1 cup water
    1/2 tsp ginger
    1 (3oz) pkg of oriental-flavor ramen noodle soup mix.

Directions

Makes 4 (1-1/3 cup) servings

1. Brown ground beef and drain.
2. Add carrots and cook 2-3 minutes until slightly tender.
3. Add broccoli florets, water, ginger, and season packet from ramen noodles; mix well.
4. Bring to a boil; cover and simmer 5 minutes.
5. Add ramen noodles (broken up). Cook uncovered 5 minutes more.
