Introduction

Ingredients

    1 onion, chopped (about 1 cup)
    4-5 cloves garlic (pressed)
    4 stalks celery, chopped
    1 small rutabaga, chopped (about 1 cup)
    1 zucchini, chopped (about 1 cup)
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. thyme
    1/2 head green cabbage, shredded
    1 28 oz. can diced tomatoes
    6 cups chicken broth or bouillon

Directions

In soup pot, saute onion and garlic in oil. When onion is translucent, add celery, rutabaga, and zucchini. Add spices and saute a few more minutes. This step isn't for cooking so much as infusing flavor in your soup. Add cabbage, pour tomatoes and chicken broth over. Heat through, then simmer until veggies are desired tenderness.
