Ingredients

    1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
    1/4 cup sugar
    1/4 cup splenda
    1/2 cup firmly packed splenda brown sugar
    1 tsp baking soda
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/2 cup shortening
    1/2 cup reduced fat peanut butter
    2 TBS skim milk
    1 tsp vanilla
    1 egg
    Sugar
    48 milk chocolate candy kisses, unwrapped

Directions

Heat oven to 375F. In large bowl, combine all ingredients except for extra sugar and chocolate kisses. Mix at low speed until stiff dough forms. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Roll in sugar. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake at 375F for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Immediately top each cookie with 1 candy kiss, pressing down firmly so cookie cracks around edge. Remove from cookie sheets.

Makes 4 dozen cookies.
