Ingredients

    1 tsp. vegetable oil
    14 oz. cubed round steak or extra lean ground beef
    4 c. tomato juice
    29 oz. tomato puree
    2 15 oz. cans red kidney beans, drained
    2 c. chopped onion
    1 c. chopped celery
    1/4 c. diced green bell pepper
    1/4 c. chili powder
    1 tsp cumin
    1 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp oregano
    1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper

Directions

Heat oil. Add meat and salt and spices and brown meat. Add fresh vegetables and cook until softened. Add all other ingredients and simmer 30 min or longer.

Made 120 oz. by weight, so each serving is approx. 12 oz
