Ingredients

    9 large eggs, well-beaten
    3 cups milk
    3/4 teaspoon prepared horseradish
    3/4 teaspoon mustard powder
    4 cups cubed French bread (or can use a baguette from grocery store)
    1 pound bulk pork sausage, cooked and crumbled (can use links or patties)
    1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Directions

MAKE-AHEAD BREAKFAST CASSEROLE (10 servings)

Assemble the night (or day) before and bake the next day. (I think if you assemble it early enough in the day you can bake it that night).

In a large bowl combine the eggs, milk, horseradish and mustard powder, beating with a whisk until blended.

Spray a 13-inch-by-9-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray and add the bread cubes and spread evenly.

Sprinkle the top with the sausage.

Pour the egg mixture over the bread and sausage.

Sprinkle the top with the cheese.

Cover the dish with plastic wrap (or aluminum foil) and refrigerate overnight.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Uncover the dish and bake until golden and the center is set, about 45 minutes. (I insert a sharp knife and if it comes out clean it's done.)

Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
