Introduction

Nice thick soup for winter time or any time. Nice thick soup for winter time or any time.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    For the soup:
    9 cups chicken broth
    1/4 cup pearl barley, raw
    1/4 cup lentils any kind
    3 large carrots sliced
    2 stalks celery sliced or chopped
    1/5 cup cut green beans
    1 med onion chopped
    1 clove garlic chopped
    1 tsp parsley

    For the Drop Egg Noodles:
    1 egg well beaten
    1/4 cup flour - whatever kind you have will do
    some water to thin it
    salt and peppr to taste




Directions

Soup ingredients all go in a large soup pot, bring to a boil, then simmer for about 45 mins. Then with a spoon, you can drop small portions of the egg drop noodle mixture into the soup. If it's too thick just add little bits of water to thin it. Drop by teaspoonsfuls into the soup. Continue cooking soup for another 15 minutes.
