Ingredients

    4 cups, peeled, cored, sliced 1/4-inch tart cooking apples
    1/4 cup sugar
    1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
    2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
    1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1 tablespoon water
    4 boneless rib or loin pork chops, cut 3/4-inch thick
    1 (3 ounce) envelope crumb coating mix for pork

Directions

Heat oven to 400degs. In large bowl combine apples, sugar, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg; place in greased 9-inch square baking pan. In pie pan mix egg and water. Dip pork chops in egg mixture; coat with crumb coating. Place chops on top of apple mixture. Bake for 45 to 55 minutes or until pork is fork tender.
