    1/2 pound mushrooms fresh sliced
    1 stalk celery chopped
    1 carrot stick chopped
    2 cloves garlic minced
    1 TBSP butter
    6 cups vegetable broth
    2/3 cup barley
    tsp. thyme dried
    tsp. dill weed dried


Heat butter over medium.
Add onions, celery, garlic, and carrots.
Cook 10 minutes.
Add Mushrooms. Cook 5 minutes.
Add broth, barley, and thyme.
Bring to a boil, cover, reduce to a simmer.
Simmer 60 to 75 minutes.
Add dill fresh or dried.
Cook about 2 or three minutes.
