Introduction

Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    Lentils (red or green, split) 1.5 cups
    summer squash (whatever you desire) 2 cups
    chicken broth 4 cups
    water 5 cups
    onions (diced) 1 cup
    yams (diced) 2 cups
    cabbage chopped 3 cups
    one can tomato soup
    one can tomato sauce

Directions

Bring water, chicken broth and lentils to a boil, let simmer for 15 to 20 minutes, add the squash and simmer til tender. let cool and blend til smooth (I use a potato ricer). In a seperate pan, saute onions and cabbage and add to the soup, add the yams, simmer til tender. Serve when cooled a bit.
