Ingredients

    1/2 C. Shortening
    1 1/4 C. Sugar
    2 Eggs
    2 C. Flour
    1 tsp. Baking Soda
    1/4 tsp. Salt
    1 C. grated, peeled Apple
    1/4 C. Sour Milk


    Crunchy topping

    1/4 C. Sugar
    1/4 tsp. Cinnamon
    2 tbsp. Butter
    1 tbsp. Flour

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream together shortening and sugar. Beat in eggs. In another bowl, stir together dry ingredients and apple. Mix into the creamed mixture, alternately with milk. Stir just to combine after each addition. Spread into greased and floured bread pan.
Cut topping ingredients together with a fork.
Sprinkle with crunchy topping. Bake 45-50 minutes.
