Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    Canola Oil, 1 tbsp
    Onions, raw, 1/2 cup, chopped
    Garlic, 1 tsp, minced
    Carrots, raw, 1/2 cup, chopped
    Celery, raw, 1/2 cup, diced
    Pasta Shells - Small- 7 ounces per package
    Peas, frozen or fresh, 1/2 cup
    Chickpeas (garbanzo beans), 1 cup, canned
    Low Sodium Chicken Broth, 12 cups
    salt to taste
    Basil, .1 tsp, dried

Directions

Sautee the onions and garlic in the oil for two minutes.
Add celery and carrots sautee for 3 more minutes stirring frequently.
Add pasta, peas, chickpeas, broth, salt and celery
cook to boil, lower the heat and simmer for half an hour.
Makes 12 cups
each serving is about a cup.
