Ingredients
-
8 slices of whole wheat bread
4 eggs (I use the whole egg, but egg whites is fine, you just have to double the amount)
.25 cup of milk (i use 1%, you can use what ever you like but the caloric value may change)
.25 tsp of Mrs. Dash table blend
.125 tsp of ground black pepper
1 tbsp of ground cinnamon
5 tbsp of Olivio (you can use butter or margarine, but the caloric value may change)
Directions
Put a frying pan to heat up on the stove - I use one big enough for 2 slices of bread.
Mix the eggs, milk, Mrs. Dash, cinnamon, and black pepper together in a bowl.
put one tbsp of Olivio in the frying pan to melt
dip and flip each slice of bread(as you are ready to cook it) in the egg mixture
put the bread in the frying pan, and cook until golden brown on each side
repeat steps three through five until all 8 slices are cooked
put your last tablespoon of olivio in the frying pan and let it melt
pour the left over batter into the frying pan and cook your eggs.
pour about .25 cups of syrup on your french toast and eat up!!!
this makes 4 2-slice servings of french toast with just a little bit of egg on the side
we like to eat this with either ice cold milk or orange juice, give it a try - it's delicious.
