Introduction

I had a pound of hamburger and wanted to make something a little different than just hamburgers or meatloaf. I had a pound of hamburger and wanted to make something a little different than just hamburgers or meatloaf.

Ingredients

    1 lb. ground beef (12% fat or less)
    1 tsp. black pepper
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 cups bell pepper strips (frozen is fine)
    1 tsp. garlic minced ( fresh or dehydrated)
    2 cups diced tomatoes ( canned is fine)
    1 1/2 tbsp. soy sauce ( low sodium)
    1 cup light blue cheese crumbles

Directions

Brown ground beef, garlic powder, minced garlic, pepper, salt, soy sauce. Drain fat. Add tomatoes, peppers and cook 10 minutes on medium heat.

distribute beef/pepper mixture equally into 8 halfs of pita pockets. Enjoy.
