Ingredients
-
1-20 oz Pkg. Jennie-o 97% FF Ground Turkey
2-26 oz Jars Ragu Light Basil & Tomato Sauce
1 tbsp Each of Onion Powder, Garlic Powder, Oregano, (or Italian Seasoning) and Parsley
1 tbsp of salt
3/4 tbsp of black pepper
Olive Oil Cooking Spray
Directions
Spray large pan with olive oil or cooking spray well. Heat pan on medium heat.
Add ground turkey and spices. Stir with wooden spoon breaking up the meat.
Cook & stir until meat is crumbled, no longer pinkish, and thouroughly cooked (don't overcook or it will be dry).
Lower heat to low, add both jars of Ragu Sauce and stir to incorporate meat into sauce. Cover and simmer for about 20-30 minutes.
This makes approximately ten, 3/4 cup servings. This is especially good and healthy over whole wheat or whole grain pasta, served with a salad.
The remaining freezes well and is also a good base for the turkey chili I make.
