A simple and delicious pasta sauce. A simple and delicious pasta sauce.
Number of Servings: 7


    1 can crushed tomatoes
    1 celery stalk, diced
    1 green pepper, diced
    1 medium sized onion, diced
    1 cup mushrooms, or 1 can, whichever you have
    1 cup chopped carrot(I use baby carrots)
    1 pound lean ground beef or chicken.


1. Cut up all the veggies and heat them, stirring, for 5-10 minutes in a large sauce pan.

2. When the veggies are tender, add the can of crushed tomatoes and stir, then lower the heat and simmer, covered, for 10 or 15 minutes.

3. Brown the beef or chicken.

4. Add the beef or chicken after the 10-15 minutes, stir, then simmer again,covered, for 10-15 more minutes. Also add in any spices you like.(I added garlic, Italian seasoning, paprika and pepper)

5. While its simmering start boiling your pasta.

6. Enjoy!
