A modification of a recipe in Better Homes & Gardens New Cook Book (1981). A modification of a recipe in Better Homes & Gardens New Cook Book (1981).
Number of Servings: 8


    1/2 C. whole wheat flour
    1 1/2 C. all purpose flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. each or to taste: cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, cloves
    1 C. brown sugar, unpacked
    1/3 C. vegetable oil
    2 eggs
    1 small can pumpkin, no salt or sugar added
    1/4 C. milk
    1/4 C. millet or to taste
    1/4 C. flaxseed or to taste


Mix all ingredients, adding seeds last. Turn into loaf pan prepared with canola oil spray. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 60 minutes. Makes 1 loaf.
