Ingredients

    Sauerkraut, 4 cup drained
    Split Peas, 2 cup
    Onions, raw, 1 medium (2-1/2" dia) chopped
    Mushrooms, canned, 1 cup
    *Flour, white, .125 cup
    Bay Leaf, 1 whole
    Allspice, 1 whole

Directions

Cover sauerkraut with water. Add mushrooms whole spices program does not allow writing this way in ingredient list do not crumble but remove at end of cooking .. Simmer 1 hour. In separate pan cover peas with 3 cups boiling water. return to boil. Shut off heat after 2 minutes ; cover; let set for 30 minutes. Drain excess water. Meanwhile , sweat onions do not brown. Add onions to peas. Drain sauerkraut reserving 1 cup liquid. Combine 2 tablespoon flour with liquid. thickening add all other ingredients. Bake together 30 minutes in covered dish
