Introduction

Main course meal that I got the recipe from the back of a Hunts canned tomato can. Main course meal that I got the recipe from the back of a Hunts canned tomato can.
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1 brown of lean ground round
    1 onion chopped
    1 green pepper chopped
    1 16 oz ( I think they are 15 oz now) canned tomatoes
    3 tablespoons of chili powder
    salt & pepper to taste
    1 Cup water
    1 Cup long grain white rice
    or you can use Minute Rice shorten the simmer time since you won't have to cook the rice.

Directions

Cook & crumble the beef over medium heat - add onions, green pepper & chili seasoning until the beef is fully cooked stirring occassionally - drain any excess grease. Add tomatoes, water & rice. Salt & pepper to taste - stir - cover & cook for 20 to 25 minutes on low heat.

Serves 6 - 1 Cup portions - quick dinner
