Number of Servings: 36


    5 c. whole wheat flour
    5 tsp baking soda
    1 tsp salt
    2 c. brown sugar Splenda blend
    3 c. natural bran
    3 c. All Bran cereal
    1 quart (4 c.) buttermilk
    2 c. chopped walnuts
    3 eggs
    1 c. oil (veg or similar)
    1/4 c. molasses
    1 1/2 c. water


Mix dry ingredients in one bowl (make it a huge one - this is a BIG recipe). Not that the Splenda is the brown sugar kind and equals 2 cups (the default for cups wasn't there)

Beat eggs, oil, and molasses together, then add milk and water.

Pour the liquid mixture into the dry ingredients and mix well.

Cover tightly and refrigerate.

To bake, stir cold mixture and fill greased tins.

Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.

The calories are for 36 muffins but I haven't measured this out - it may actually make more. Also the "real" recipe calls for raisins, but I prefer walnuts. Hopefully you can adjust at will.
