Ingredients

    1 cup lentils
    50g pearl barley
    750mL vegetable stock
    1 tsp mixed herbs
    1 bay leaf
    salt
    pepper
    dash garlic flakes

Directions

Soak lentils if required. Mix lentils, barley, vegetable stock, herbs and seasonings. Bring to a boil for 5 minutes, then let simmer until barley and lentils are completely soft. Remove bay leaf before serving.
