I got this recipe from my Grandma. She has used it for as long as I can remember. Most of our family memebers have this recipe, and use it every year.

Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    1/3 to 1/2 bu. tomatoes peeled and chopped
    20 jalapeno peppers
    12 chili peppers (seeds included)
    20 large onions (chopped)
    8 green bell peppers
    1/3 to 1/2 cup salt
    1/2 cup brown sugar
    2 cups vinegar
    2 tsp garlic powder
    2-3 tsp cumin

Directions

WARNING: wear rubber gloves while handling hot peppers.

Cook tomatoes 2-3 hours
Add all other ingredients and cook slowly to prevent scorching.
To make thicker salsa, skim off juice (bottle and process w/salsa...It's great to ward off colds)

Pack salsa into HOT sterile jars.
Seal and process 20-30 mins/ quart jar
