Introduction

Adding some sunflower seeds gives this oatmeal a more interesting texture and flavor. Adding some sunflower seeds gives this oatmeal a more interesting texture and flavor.

Ingredients

    Old Fashioned Rolled or steel cut oats 0.5 cup
    Coconut Oil, 1 tsp
    Water, tap, 1 cup (8 fl oz)
    Cinnamon, ground, .5 tsp (sprinkle to taste)
    Sunflower Seeds, without salt, 3 tsp
    Add your favorite sweetener - I use Truvia

Directions

combine Oats, coconut oil and water in microwave safe bowl - microwave for 2 minutes. Add 3 tsp of sunflower seeds (I also like Pistachio nuts for a little different flavor), shake in some Cinnamon and add a packet of your favorite natural sweetener or sugar.
**Keep in mind that Steel Cut Oats will add about 40-50 more calories for the same 1/2 cup.
