Ingredients

    2.5 cups of flour
    6 tsp of baking powder
    1 tsp salt
    8 tbs unsalted butter
    1/3 cup of sugar
    2/3 cups of 2% milk

Directions

This recipe makes 16 triangular scones.

Heat the oven to 425. Sift the flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl. Mix in the butter until it is incorporated into the flour. Mix in the sugar and add the milk and mix until the dough forms into a ball. You can add a sprinkle of flour if your dough is to sticky. Seperate the dough into two euqal pieces and press out into two circles (about the size of your hand). Cut with a knife (I use a pizza cutter for ease) into eight triangles each. Place on a cookie sheet and bake for 13 minutes. Lower the oven temperature to 350 and bak an additional 10-12 minutes until lightly borwn.
