Introduction

A tasty low fat version of this classic quick bread. A tasty low fat version of this classic quick bread.
Number of Servings: 16

Ingredients

    3 cups all-purpose flour
    1 tsp baking soda
    1 tsp salt
    1 tbsp cinnamon
    2 cups sugar
    4 eggs, beaten
    2 cups mashed bananas
    1.5 cups unsweetened applesauce

Directions

1. Mix dry ingredients.
2. Add eggs, bananas, and applesauce.
3. Mix well.
4. Pour into two greased bread pans.
5. Bake at 325 degrees for about one hour, or until toothpick inserted at middle comes out clean.
6. Makes 2 5"x9" loafs, about 16 servings.

    Quick and easy to make! Made 24 good sized muffins. Baked at 350F for 25 minutes. Yummy and moist, but very sweet - will try with 1 1/2 cups of sugar next time. - 4/19/09
