Found this receipe on sparkpeople and it was a bit more calories than I wanted. So I revised it and it taste pretty good. Found this receipe on sparkpeople and it was a bit more calories than I wanted. So I revised it and it taste pretty good.
Number of Servings: 2


    4 T flour
    4 T Splenda
    2 T Cocoa
    1 egg
    3 T Skim milk or non-fat milk
    3 T applesauce Sweetened
    3 T Chocolate chips (optional)
    1/8 tsp vanilla extract

    1 Large Coffee Mug


Add dry ingredients to mug and mix well.
Add egg and mix thoroughly.
Pour in milk and applesauce, mix well.
Add chocolate chips & vanilla and mix together.

Place mug into microwave and cook for 3 minutes, @ 1000 watts. The cake will rise over the top of the mug.
Allow to cool. Tip onto plante and garnish as desired.

  • I made this today and it turned out leathery. It was awful, so I had to bin it. I tried it again, in case I'd made a mistake the first time, but I got the same result. I was most disappointed after all the good reviews. - 4/5/09

  • Wow, it really was rubbery! It makes the chewing kind of fun though, haha. This did taste good. I used unsweetened applesauce & 2 packets of Splenda instead of 1 T... and omitted the chocolate chips. Still chocolatey! - 2/23/09
