Introduction

I use this sauce without meat for when I make a vegetarian pasta dish. During the summer when they are readily available, you can substitute fresh tomatoes for the canned version. You can also add ground meat of your choice, or an Italian sausage if you wish. I use this sauce without meat for when I make a vegetarian pasta dish. Ingredients

    2 tbsp Olive Oil
    1 large Onions, chopped
    5 cloves Garlic, minced
    2 14 oz cans chopped Tomatoes
    3 tbsp Tomato Paste,
    3 tsp fresh Thyme , chopped
    1 tbsp ground Oregano, chopped
    10 leaves fresh Basil, chopped

Directions

heat oil in skillet and add onion and garlic and cook until soft. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, and herbs. Simmer for 15 mins. (35 if using fresh tomatoes)
