Introduction

This is a wonderful sauce over mixed fresh steamed veggies and long grain red rice. Pork or chicken chunks may be browned and added. Calculations are for sauce only. Ingredients

    1 Tbl Olive Oil
    3 Tbl garlic, minced
    12 Tbl fresh basil (or 2 dried)
    16 oz. fat free cream cheese
    1.5 cups fat free cottage cheese
    2 cups water

Directions

In a medium saucepan cook minced garlic and basil in oil for 30 seconds. Reduce heat to medium/low. Add cheeses and cook, stirring often for 7 mins. or until sauce is smooth.
Add water and cook on low for 3 minutes until sauce thickens.

Makes 8 1/2 cup servings.
