    16 oz rotini pasta
    1 tsp olive oil
    1 pound italian sausage
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 1/2 cups chicken broth (I use low salt, fat free)
    1/8 tsp crushed red peppers
    1 bunch broccoli, chopped
    2 tbsp butter or margarine
    1/4 tsp salt
    1 tsp pepper


Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to boil over high heat. Add the rotini and cook until tender. Drain.

Heat the olive oil in a large skiller over medium heat. Stir in the italian sausage (chopped) and cook until crumbly and no longer pink, about 5 minutes. Stir in the garlilc and continue to cook sausage until brown. Drain excess greade, pour chicken broth and red pepper flakes into mixture. Bring to a boil on high heat. Add chopped broccoli and cover. Cook until broccoli is tender.

When broccoli is done, stir in butter, salt and pepper until sause is thickened. Toss with the rotini.
