Introduction

This is similar to chapati but the difference is that this is almost oil free and very low fat. It ia high in fibre and considered to be one of the best deit or low cholesterol food in India. Ingredients

    whole wheat flour -1 cup
    water - 1/2 cup
    oil - 1 tspn

Directions

To a cup of flour, add some water and make a dough, when the dough is almost done, add 1 tsp of oil and mix well. Kneat and keep this dough aside for 30 minutes.

Press the dough using a roller to make flat, round, thin base.

Heat the pan and put the phulka base on the pan. Once the phulka blows, turn it using a stick and wait till the other side is burnt. You can make 3 such phulkas which will be almost 7" diameter. this will be sufficient for a meal along with the curry.
