Ingredients

Turkey, Ground turkey, 93% lean, 20 oz
Celery, raw, 2 stalk, large (11"-12" long)
    Carrots, raw, 2 carrot (7-1/2")
    Onions, raw, 0.5 cup, chopped
Vegetable Juice Cocktail (V8), 3 cup
Frozen Cut Green Beans, 2 cup
Diced Tomatoes with Basil, Garlic, & Oregano, 1.75 cup
    Worcestershire Sauce, 1.5 tsp
    1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
    1 tsp garlic salt
    Granulated Sugar, 0.5 tsp
    Pepper, black, 0.25 tsp

Modifications from original recipe: I added an extra carrot, used the canned tomatoes instead of 1 cup chopped fresh tomato, used V8 instead of tomato juice, and omitted 2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms (I just don't care for them).

Directions

1. In a large skillet cook ground turkey, celery, carrot, and onion until meat is brown. Drain off fat. Transfer turkey mixture to a 3 1/2 or 4 quart slow cooker.
2. Stir in V8 juice, frozen green beans, tomato, Italian seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, garlic salt, sugar, and pepper.
3. Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 5 to 6 hours or on highfor 2 1/2 to 3 hours.

Makes 5 servings. Original recipe appears in Better Homes & Gardens Slow Cooker Recipes for 2, 4 or more.
