Introduction
Low fat, low cal, high flavor & texture! These are very chewy, kind of like soft granola bars, which to me is rather satisfying. They don't spread out much, so if you like your cookies flatter instead of plump, you'll want to press them down with your spoon or a spatula. Low fat, low cal, high flavor & texture!

Great base recipe for a healthy snack. Like most members, I had to tweak it a little. Used whole wheat flour, reduced sugar in half and used 1/4 cup raw only. Then added 1/2 cup chopped walnuts. Shaped into 12 cookies @ 135 calories each for a really great snack with a cup of coffee or tea. - 3/9/09
