    2 cups flour
    1/4 teaspoon baking soda
    1/4 cup butter
    3 teaspoons baking powder
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 cup plain yogurt


Preheat over to 375°F. In a bowl, sift together dry ingredients. Add butter and yogurt and mix well. Place dough on a board and knead until smooth. Either roll to a 1-inch thickness and cut round biscuits using a cookie cutter, or make 2-inch balls and flatten. Place on a greased cookie sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes or until brown. Serve hot.

  • I loooove these biscuits, make them all the time - they are in my fave cookbook, How to Cook Everything. You can make them w/2-3 tbsp of butter instead of 4 and they are still goooood! They are EXTRA YUM with some chopped green scallions and a 1/4 cup of grated Romano cheese! - 1/6/10
