Ingredients

    * *Pork Shoulder (pork butt, picnic roast), 4 pounds
    * Onions, raw, 1 cup, chopped/ diced
    * Cider Vinegar, 4 cup or 1 qrt.
    * Tomato Paste, 0.5 cup
    * Lemon-lime soda, no caffeine, .5 can
    * Pepper, red or cayenne, 1 tbsp
    * Garlic powder, 2 tsp
    * *Onion powder, 2 tsp
    * Paprika, 1 tbsp
    * Lea & Perrins, Worcestershire Sauce, 3 tsp
    * Garlic, 3 cloves
    * Brown Sugar, .6667 cup, packed
    * Pepper, black, 1 tbsp
    * Mustard seed, yellow, 1 tsp

Directions

* *Pork Shoulder (pork butt, picnic roast), 4 pounds

sear meat and prepare for crock pot

MIXTURE
* Onions, raw, 1 cup, chopped/ diced
* Cider Vinegar, 4 cup or 1 qrt.
* Tomato Paste, 0.5 cup
* Lemon-lime soda, no caffeine, .5 can
* Pepper, red or cayenne, 1 tbsp
* Garlic powder, 2 tsp
* *Onion powder, 2 tsp
* Paprika, 1 tbsp
* Lea & Perrins, Worcestershire Sauce, 3 tsp
* Garlic, 3 cloves
* Brown Sugar, .6667 cup, packed
* Pepper, black, 1 tbsp
* Mustard seed, yellow, 1 tsp

siphon off enough for a salad dressing bottle full to be used later on cooked meat

pour remaining mixture over meat and cook in crock pot for 2-3 hours

pull apart and serve on buns of choice or as a main dish

in North Carolina it would be served with hush puppies, slaw and new potatoes! hmmmm good!
