Introduction

Strata means "layer" in Italian. I used up leftovers in the fridge to make this strata, which includes 6 fresh eggs from our chickens. Get creative with your own fillings and use bits of what's in the house already. Strata means "layer" in Italian. Ingredients

    Peppers, sweet, red, raw, sliced, 1 cup
    1 medium onion, chopped
    Broccoli, fresh, 3 cup, chopped
    Bacon, 6 medium slices, cooked & crumbled
    Cheddar Cheese, 3 oz, shredded
    Egg, fresh, 6 medium
    Milk, 1%, 1 cup
    Salt & pepper to taste

Directions

Chop broccoli and put in a pie plate that you've sprayed with oil.

Saute onion and peppers in a saucepan. Sprinkle over the broccoli.

Cook bacon, crumble over onion mix.

Top strata with the cheese.

Beat eggs with milk, then pour into pie plate.

Bake at 375 for an hour.
