This is a great large loaf bread machine recipe. Wonderful aroma, great toasted. This is a great large loaf bread machine recipe. Wonderful aroma, great toasted.
Number of Servings: 20


    1 1/2 cups water
    1 cup white bread flour
    2 cups + 2 Tbsp whole wheat flour
    2 Tbsp wheat germ
    3 Tbsp ground flax seed
    3 Tbsp oat bran
    3 Tbsp potato flakes
    1 tsp gluten
    2 Tbsp dry milk
    2 Tbsp brown sugar
    1 1/2 tsp salt
    2 Tbsp canola oil
    2 Tbsp honey
    1 tsp garam masala
    1 tsp cinnamon
    1 Tbsp active dry yeast

    Note: if you don't have garam masala, you can use 2 tsp cinnamon and 1/4 tsp cloves.


Add ingredients in order listed unless your bread machine suggests a different order. Use the whole wheat setting if you have one. If you don't, allow it to go thru the knead cycle, rest about 5 minutes and restart the machine. I get about 20 slices from a loaf pan by slicing the loaf in half (top is one half, bottom other half) and then making about 10 slices from each half.
