    2 1/2 cups broccoli, frozen*
    1 tsp onion powder
    2 cups chicken broth
    1 Tbsp flour
    1 tsp. garlic powder
    1 1/2 tsp. Salt
    Dash of pepper
    2 cups milk
    1/4-1/2 lbs Cheddar Cheese**

    *2 1/2 cups fresh broccoli stems or flowers, in bite size pieces may be used instead.

    **Nutritional Information is based on 1/2 lbs of cheese being used.


In a saucepan combine broccoli and chicken broth. Bring to boil. Simmer for 10 minutes or until broccoli is tender. Add flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper. Slowly stir in milk and add cheese. Cook, stirring constantly until cheese is melted. DO NOT BOIL.
