A favorite Sunday morning treat at my house. A favorite Sunday morning treat at my house.

    White Bread, 2 slice, large (remove)
    Egg, fresh, 1 large (remove)
    Milk, nonfat, .33 cup (remove)
    Vanilla Extract, 1 tsp (remove)
    Nutmeg, ground, .25 tsp (remove)
    Cinnamon, ground, .25 tsp (remove)
    Butter, salted, 2 pat (1" sq, 1/3" high) (remove)
    *Giant Brand Strawberry Jelly, 1 tbsp (remove)


Beat together milk, eggs, vanilla and spices until well blended. Heat fry-pan over medium high heat. Add pat of butter to pan and allow to melt. Dip bread in egg mixture and get both sides well coated but not soggy. Add bread to pan and fry for about three minutes per side or until golden brown. Serve with a pat of butter and strawberry jam.
