Ingredients

    Wheat bran, unprocessed, 1 cup
    Whole Wheat Flour, 1 cup
    All-Purpose White Flour, 1 cup
    Baking Soda, 1 1/2 tsp
    Salt, .1/4 tsp
    Mash Banana, fresh, 3 large
    Buttermilk, lowfat, 1 1/2 cup
    Egg, fresh, 1 large
    Granulated Sugar 1/2 cup
    Unsweetend Applesauce, .1/4 cup
    Vanilla Extract, 2 tsp

Directions

1. Mix bran, flours, baking soda, raisins, walnuts and salt in a medium bowl and stir with a whisk to combine.

2. In another bowl, combine buttermilk, sugar, egg, applesauce, mashed bananas and vanilla. Whisk till combined.

3. Pour buttermilk mixture into bowl with flour and stir wit a spoon gently to combine. Do not over mix.

350 degrees, 20 minutes
