Ingredients

    6 slices Bacon
    2 tbsp Olive Oil
    1 large Onion, finely chopped
    6 clove Garlic, finely chopped
    3 lbs Green Beans
    2 qts Chicken Broth
    Kosher salt,
    Black Pepper

Directions

Heat a heavy bottomed pot over medium high heat. Add oil, bacon and onion and cook until onion is soft, about 5 to 10 minutes. Add garlic last 2 minutes. Stir in green beans and chicken broth, season with salt and pepper. Reduce heat to low and cook green beans until they are soft but not mushy, about 30 to 45 minutes. Taste and adjust seasoning.
