    1/4 cup (4 tbsp) Imperial Stick Margarine
    1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
    1 cup sugar
    1/2 cup Egg Beaters original
    3 mashed bananas (~1 cup)
    2 cups flour
    1 tsp baking soda
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/2 cup nuts (optional)


Cream margarine, applesauce and sugar. Add bananas, flour, baking soad, and salt (all at once). Beat 2 minutes. Add eggs and beat 2 more minutes. Stir in nuts. Place in square cake pan and bak at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes. Check with toothpick to see if done.

Makes 16 to 30 servings (depending on how you slice it).
