Great recipe for a slow cooker on winter day! Great recipe for a slow cooker on winter day!
Number of Servings: 8


    12 oz. ground beef
    1 cup chopped onion
    1/2 cup chopped green pepper
    2 cloves minced garlic (2 tsp)
    1 - 28 oz. can stewed tomatoes, cut up
    1 - 15 oz. can red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
    1 - 15 oz. can black beans, rinsed and drained
    1 - 8 oz. can tomato sauce
    2 tsp. chili powder
    1/2 tsp. dried basil
    1/4 tsp. black pepper


In a large saucepan cook ground beef, onion, pepper and garlic until meat is browned and onion is tender. Drain fat and transfer to crock pot.

Stir in undrained tomatoes, beans, tomato sauce, chili powder, basil and pepper.

Cook on low for 6-8 hours.

Makes 6- 1 cup servings.
