    Beef chuck, arm pot roast, 1.5 lb
    Onions, frozen, pearl, 1 package (10 oz) Carrots, raw, 3 medium
    Turnips, 3 small
    Green Beans (snap), 1 cup
    Red Wine, 16 fl oz
    Water, tap, 8 fl oz
    2 tbsp. Herbs des Provence
    1 tbsp. paprika
    2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. pepper
    Olive Oil, 2 tbsp
    Butter, salted, 2 tbsp


Pre-heat oven to 325 degrees. Heat 1 tbsp. of oil in pan. Coat beef with sprices and brown first batch in oil. Add additional oil, brown remaining beef. Add butter and melt and sautee pearl onions in pan (they can go in frozen). Add beef back to pan and add in water and wine. Bring to a boil. Add turnips and carrots. Cover, remove from heat and place in oven to simmer and slow cook for 1.5 hours. After 1.5 hours, add green beans and return cover to pot to continue to cook for another half hour. Remove from oven, return to stovestop and if desire, thicken sauce by whisking in cornstarch, xanthan gum or thicken/thin not starch.
