Cajun Rice and Sausage Cajun Rice and Sausage
Number of Servings: 6


    3 Cups Minute Rice
    1 link Hillshire Farm Smoked Sausage
    5 Scallions
    1/2 Med Onion
    3 Cloves Garlic
    Chili Powder
    Season all
    Salt Pepper
    2 Tablespoons Butter or Marg


Chop Onion, Scallions and Garlic (reserve half top of Greens from Scallions)
Brown Sausage with Chopped ingredients
Add Cayenne, Chili Powder, Salt & Pepper to taste
Add 8 Cups water to Sausage Mixture
Bring to a boil (add buter if desired)*
Add 4 Cups Minute Rice, Stir Remove from Heat
and let set 5 Minutes.
(you can also use previously prepared long cooking rice, or cook long cooking rice and add sausage mixture @ 5-10 minutes left in cooking time)
