    1 5/8 cup of water
    3 Tbsp. olive oil
    3 1/2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    4 cups whole wheat flour
    1/2 cup oatmeal
    1/2 cup pumpkin seeds (hulled)
    1/2 cup sunflower seeds (hulled)
    1 1/2 tsp. bread machine yeast
    1 - 100 mg. vitamin C tablet crushed


Place wet and dry ingredients in the bread machine according to manufacturer's instructions. Set the machine for whole wheat bread. I take the bread out after the second rising, form it into a round loaf, cover it and let it rise a third time. After it has doubled, brush with an egg yolk mixed with 1 Tbsp. water and bake at 350 (180 C) degrees for approximately half an hour or until the bread sounds hollow when tapped. This makes a large loaf so the slices are equal to 2 pieces of a normal loaf.
